New Sprint Camera Phones

Sprint has one of the best line-ups among the major US wireless carriers. The Now Network is selling heavyweights like the the BlackBerry Tour, Palm Pre, HTC Touch Pro2 and the HTC Hero. The carrier is also offering a wide number of phone in various categories including camera phones.

Let's look at the new Sprint camera phones that have been launched this year. A camera phone is a handset that is equipped with a powerful shooter that is considered among its top features.

For the purpose of this post, let's look at phones that carry a at least a 3 MP camera. It wouldn't be fair to consider other phones that are equipped with less powerful shooters.

Samsung Instinct HD: A new Sprint phones that features an awesome 5 megapixel camera with “HD” video recording and video playback via a TV-out port.

HTC Hero: Sprint's first Android phone rocks with its 5-megapixel shooter.

Samsung Moment: A new Android phone with a good 3.2-megapixel camera with flash and camcorder with auto-focus.

Palm Pre: This smartphone carries a decent 3 MP camera. But it's clear that you'll get more than just a good camera when you purchase this webOS phone.

BlackBerrry Tour: This device is one of the recent RIM phones that come with a decent camera. This handset packs a reliable 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording. A no-camera version of this phone is also available.

HTC Touch Pro2:
A solid mobile phone with a good 3.2 megapixel shooter. Consumers will also get a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard.

I'm glad that Sprint is finally offering phones with 5MP shooters. Perhaps those 8Mp handsets are not far off.
