Samsung Gravity SAR Rating

The Samsung Gravity is one of the popular phones that was released last year. This mobile phone is ideal for texting and music. It's not a very fancy mobile phones with tons of high-end but it works for users who want a solid phone that functions superbly.

The Samsung Gravity reviews posted on the web indicates that users have relatively great experience with handling this phone. However, some users were also concerned about the Samsung Gravity SAR rating.

But what is a SAR rating anyway? Well, this measurement refers to the rate at which the body absorbs energy when exposed to a radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field. The acronym stands for Specific absorption rate.

Consumers are concerned over the SAR rate of mobile phones because they are used close to a users head. A device with a very high Specific absorption rate may cause ill effects for the user. The government mandates that phones sold have a SAR level at or below 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg) taken over a volume of 1 gram of tissue.

So what is the Samsung Gravity SAR rating? According to the FCC, the phone has a rating of
0.487 watt per kilogram. It's well below the limits set by the government so that should mean that it's safe to use the device.

It's a safe phone to use and it also provides satisfaction with its solid performance. This handset is one of the best phones last year. Let's hope that the second Gravity will be just as awesome.

That's it for this post on the Samsung Gravity SAR rating . Tune in to this blog to get more of the latest news and views on the mobile phone world.

iPhone users have demanded support for Multimedia Messaging Service, or MMS since the day the touchscreen device landed on the market. However, it took almost three years before Apple and AT&T to announce that MMS for the AT&T iPhone is coming. The impending arrival of Multimedia Messaging Service was announced when the 3GS was introduced.

Unfortunately, it was announced that MMS for the AT&T iPhone will not be available at launch. The reason? Well, the carrier explained that the service will be available later this summer. Apparently, some system upgrades have to be completed to ensure that customers have the best experience with the service.

Palm Pre Voice Dialing

The Palm Pre is a sophisticated phone that runs on a sophisticated OS. Well it's sophisticated enough for some authors to write books on how to use the Palm Pre and webOS. However, for all it's cool features and capabilities the Palm Pre still lacks some basic functions.

For instance, Palm Pre voice dialing was not available at launch. This surprised a lot of users because it's a basic feature and can be found in "dumb" phones. Perhaps it was left out because the carrier and the manufacture were in a hurry to release the smartphone. That might be spot on since it took about 6 minutes to release the webOS handset.

But hey, the lack of voice dialing was also one of the top complaints with the iPhone.

Voice dialing is a feature that allows users to speak a name to dial a number instead of entering a number manually or choosing it from the phone book. It's a useful feature for users who needs to make calls while driving.

Of course, Palm has recognized the problem. The company promised to deliver Palm Pre voice dialing can be added later through an over-the-air update. However, are there any solutions or steps on getting voice dialing before the update?

Well, there's a temporary Palm Pre voice dialing solution. It's the BlueAnt's V1 Voice Controlled Bluetooth Headset. This device can do Voice Command / Voice Dialing on the but is limited to 9 numbers.

Here are the steps on Palm Pre voice dialing via BlueAnt's V1 courtesy of the Everything Pre forum:
You can assign 7 of the 9 to preset names, i.e. (Call Home, Call Office, Call Favorite, Call Speed Dial 6, Call Speed Dial 7, Call Speed Dial 8 and Call Speed Dial 9), the last two are Call Googs 411 and Call Voicemail and are fixed.

You set the the 7 numbers by pressing and holding the Volume Down Button for 3 seconds after you are finished with the last call that you want to assign.

For example if my "home" just finished calling, I would press the vol down button for three seconds and a voice would ask me what preset I want to assign the last number received and I would reply..."Call Home."

You do this with the 6 other calls you receive and then you have all there is.
There you have it. It's not ideal but it works for now. I hope that Palm delivers voice dialing in an update soon.

LG Cookie Reviews

LG has proudly announced the achievements of its hottest phone. More than 5 million units of the LG Cookie has been sold worldwide.

The numbers become even more impressive when you break it down. Statistics indicate that around 9,000 LG Cookies are sold everyday across the globe. That would mean which means 13 units are sold per minute. An impressive rate for a phone that was launched 9 months ago. It's very likely that 1 million units more will be sold before this phone reaches its 1 year anniversary.
So why is this phone so successful? Perhaps looking at some LG Cookie Reviews will give us a clue. This phone is nearly a year old so I'm sure there are plenty of reviews dedicated to it online. Let's go over some reviews on the LG Cookie.

The LG Cookie is not a smartphone and lacks high-end features like Wi-Fi or GPS. However, it delivers on the looks department. This handset sports a sleek and thin design with a 3 inch touchscreen with stylus and handwriting recognition. It resembles the recent crop of touchscreen phones like the iPhone.

Let's admit it. Design is one of the most important feature on the phone. A popular but bulky phone will only be coveted by tech geeks while a slim but limited phone will always be a hit with young and old users alike.

However, the LG Cookie also sports a nice set of features to go with its sleek dimensions. This phone offers a 3 megapixel camera with video recording. Users will also get Bluetooth, MP3 music player and FM radio. You might say that it's a good phone for entertainment.

The price is also a big factor in bringing this phone success. It cost less than two hundred dollars unlocked which is a great price for a classy touchscreen phone with solid features.

There we're also some minor complaints noted at some LG Cookie Reviews. For instance, the touchscreen and it's Flash UI were bot as responsive as some users expected. The lack of WiFi was also a sore point for some users.

Overall, the LG Cookie is a good point. The number of units sold will attest to that. The reviews were also solid, offering an explanation why it's so popular.

Verizon Wireless HTC Ozone Reviews

Verizon Wireless recently released an affordable messaging phone called the HTC Ozone. This new Verizon cell phone is being offered for an affordable price of only $49.99 after $70 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract.

Now being cheap does not usually mean quality. Let's look at some Verizon Wireless HTC Ozone reviews to see if this handset is worth purchasing.

The HTC is actually a smartphone. A budget smartphone perhaps but a high-powered device nonetheless. It runs on a Windows Mobile OS which means that it's capable of running advanced features and applications.

For a relatively cheap price, consumers will find loads of features on the HTC Ozone for Verizon Wireless. Key features include full QWERTY keyboard, 3G support, camera, WiFi, GPS and expandable memory.

The HTC OZone is not only a business device. It can also be used for entertainment. For instance it is equipped with Windows Media Player Mobile which can play videos and music.

Some Verizon Wireless HTC Ozone reviews pointed out that it has a weak camera. The 2 megapixel camera w/ auto-focus and video capture is indeed weak compared to the shooters on other high-end phones. But for a device that costs $70, I thinks it's a nice bonus.

This Verizon Wireless device also offers some pleasant surprises such as the Microsoft Office Mobile support. You can view and edit office documents in the HTC Ozone. It's one of the features that makes it ideal for corporate use.

I think that the HTC Ozone can compete with other cheap handsets ion the market. The Nokia E71 and Samsung Jack are cheap and powerful and the Ozone belongs in their league. It is cheap with a lot of features and capabilities.

The Samsung Trance is one of the many music phones that were released this year. However, this Verizon Wireless music phone offers a unique audio technology that promises to prove great musical experience.

The Samsung Trance comes with technology developed by Bang & Olufsen. This high-end audio equipment brand worked with Samsung to create a music phone with an array of equalizer modes and 3D sound effects.

However, great audio does not automatically makes the Samsung Trance a great phone. A music phone with poor call quality and performance is nothing more than a high-priced MP3 player. let's look at a few Samsung Trance reviews to help us judge is f this handset will be a success.

Some Samsung Trance reviews indicate that the music and sound provided by the device is impressive. The collaboration between Samsung and Bang & Olufsen worked for some who have reviewed the phone.

The Samsung Trance makes up for it's short comings with it's nice set of features. It provides a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth, and 1.3 megapixel camera. This cell phone also provides 1GB of internal memory for file storage.

Samsung Trance reviews agree that the this Verixzon phone is a solid device. It has a nice design with a good number of features but it also has a few holes.

LG Neon Cell Phone Rating

The LG Neon is one of the latest messaging phone on AT&T. I recently found out that alot of people are interested in this mobile phone. Specifically, they want to know about the LG Neon cell phone rating.

Cell phone ratings are similar to mini reviews. They give people a very general opinion on how a phone performs without going into the details. Cell phone reviews are easy to understand because it provides a single number that represents the phone's general performance.

However, LG Neon cell phone rating and other similar reviews are very limited. They do not specify the pros and cons of a device. You can gain a general understanding of the device's overall performance via LG Neon cell phone rating but you won't get much in the way of details.

I thought it would be useful to reveal the details behind the LG Neon cell phone rating. I will try to explain the reaso9ns why this handset has obtained its rating.

Most of the LG Neon cell phone rating I have observed gave the handset a score of seven. This usually means that it's a solid device with it's share of flaws. The LG Neon is a decent device. It's not a powerful smartphone or a classy camera phone. However, it's a superb device for text messaging and mobile email.

It's clearly not a device for business users. The LG Neon cell phone rating and reviews show that the device is more suitable for teens and young adult users. The features of this phone is good but not overwhelming. The LG Neon has a 2.4 inch LCD touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, microSD/microSDHC card slot and a FM transmitter. LG Neon cell phone rating judge this as adequate for its price range.

Many LG Neon cell phone rating and reviews also indicate that the touchscreen is a bit disappointing. It works well and has tactile feedback but it only works when dialing a number. A user will be stuck with the regular navigation keys when using other pars of the handsets UI.

Well, those are the reasons behind the LG Neon cell phone rating. Tune in to this blog to get the latest info on the coolest mobile phones.

LG Voyager Reviews

I recently heard that an update to the LG Voyager for Verizon Wireless is on the way. So I thought a post on this impressive handset is due before it's replacement arrives. Let's take a quick peek at the device and refer to a few LG Voyager reviews to get opinions on this device.

Before we look at some LG Voyager reviews, it's fitting to discuss the basic information about the device.

The LG Voyager is Verizon's flagship device for 2007. That title alone would give you an idea this this handset is a high-end device. You can also expect that many LG Voyager reviews have been written on this top gadget.

This exclusive Verizon device offers an impressive feature. This flagship phone offers a large interactive touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard and a 2 megapixel digital camera and camcorder. Other key features include GPS/Location, live TV, music player with multiple formats, packet data (Technology: EDGE), PC Sync, streaming video and video recording and playback, as well as WAP/ Web browser. All LG Voyager reviews praise the set of features offered by this Verizon handset.

LG Voyager reviews appreciates the fact that this device offers a physical QWERTY keyboard that compliments the handset's touchscreen. The physical keypad makes text entry convenient and easy.
