Here's some great news for Nokia fans and T-Mobile subscribers.
I've just found out that T-Mobile USA and Nokia have just launched the Nokia XpressMusic 5310. This handset is the successor to the Nokia 5300 music phone.
The phone will be available in three exclusive colors, black/red, black/purple and black/orange. Customers can purchase the phone starting May 28th for only $49.99 with a 2-year contract. Let me give you some basic details but I'll list the main features of the device later on.
This handset offers a combined slider candybar design and sports a number of mid-range features. The features include a 2MP camera with video support, FM radio, QVGA screen, 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.
Nokia and T-Mobile also have a promotion for the subscribers to drum up some attention for the Nokia XpressMusic 5310 launch. New 5310 owners can win a range of prizes, including free music and ringtone downloads, and a grand prize of a $100 Ticketmaster gift card.
Here's the list of the main features offered by the Nokia XpressMusic 5310:
* 9.9 mm slim and lightweight
* 3.5 mm standard jack
* Lots of preloaded applications
* 2" 16M color display with QVGA resolution
* Ambient light sensor
* Decent keypad
* Bluetooth with A2DP
* S40 5th edition user interface
* Stereo FM radio with RDS
* Dedicated music keys
* microSD card slot (2GB memory card included)
Reviewers who have examined the device have noticed some disadvantages. For example, the Nokia XpressMusic 5310 has a slow and mediocre camera with no flash or auto focus. The device is limited to tri-band and lacks 3G. The phone also has uneven backlighting and the memory card slot has been placed under the battery cover.
Well, those are the main info on the Nokia XpressMusic 5310. I think this is another addition to the series of music phones from Nokia. If you want a music centric device then you should consider this handset.
