Recently, there have been rumors about the LG Vu. AT&T has not been willing to comment on a possible release date. However, it seems that it will be released pretty soon as AT&T is getting ready to launched it's Mobile TV. An since, the LG Vu is the first AT&T handset to support live TV with MediaFLO technology, it only makes since that it will be released with the service.
CTIA 2008 gave mobile phone enthusiasts an opportunity to get a glimpse of the highly anticipated LG Vu. And certainly the prototype displayed at the show impressed some observers. AT&T also became more open with the device and indicated that the mobile TV handset will be released in May.
It also became known that the LG VU will be offered in two version. The first one has mobile TV support while the other one in unsupported. You can tell the difference between the two by the presence or absence of the mobile TV antenna. This means if you are not interested with AT&T's mobile TV service, it still makes sense to get the phone. Aside from being equipped with MediaFLO technology, the lG Vu also offers other feather.
The Vu also offers HSDPA 3.6, a 2 megapixel camera, video sharing, stereo Bluetooth, and a memory card slot. The device screen is large to handle the demands of Mobile TV and a slick touchscreen interface. Observers at CTIA say that the video quality is good but there a few things that need to be worked on. For instance, a user need to master the correct way of pushing down or the device will nor recognize the buttoin action.
The product displayed at the show was not the finished production model so LG will probably fix a few things before AT&t launches the LG Vu in May. The rumors say that it will cost about 230 dollars and fifteen bucjks will be charged for the mobile TV service. Stay tuned for more updates on this cool mobile phone.
